Once you've reclaimed your wounded inner child, you need
to champion it. As its champion, you will defend and fight
vigilantly for it. Your wounded inner child needs someone
with potency and power to protect it. With you as its
nurturing and protective parent, your wounded inner child
can continue the process already begun. By giving your
inner child the elements of healthy parenting that form the
core of corrective experience: potency, permission and
protection - enhanced by practice - you can continue to help
your wounded inner child learn the things it didn't learn at the
proper time, or in the proper sequence.
